Stephen has worked in this shop since he can remember. It belonged to his Grandfather many years ago and still remains a strong family run business with parents, children and sometimes grand children helping !

The Shop opened in August 1932.

Wood and Sons Butchers has now moved into the 21st century !!

We are a family run business that has been open for nearly 80 years and is still going strong.

Popular for our traditionally styled butchers shop, we have our own farm close by where our meat producing cows , sheep and pigs graze. . We endeavour to supply our customers with locally sourced produce.

We are famous in our area for 'Woods' sausages. Our secret recipe has people travelling for miles to come and get them, so come along and try for yourself you will not be disappointed !!
